I have helped many people who are unhappy in their relationships take a serious look at what role they play and what they want to change about it. I have also sat with some of these same people who decided to ultimately leave their relationship because it was the right decision for them.
How Individual Therapy Works
Individual therapy consists of 50 or 60 minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through the concerns you are having difficulty addressing on your own. In addition to listening, I will be a cheerleader and “coach” who asks you to push yourself, often beyond what you think you are capable of.
My process when working with individuals is open-ended and tailored to the desired outcomes of the client. In working together you can expect feedback, guidance, my opinion -including a contrary one, along with a discussion -and a strong stand on implementing self-care habits and/or improving them.
We will establish some overarching goals and do regular check-ins to get your feedback on how things are going, on what's working and what you might want to see change. However, first and foremost, I will provide you a space where you can be yourself and feel seen and heard.
